Oftentimes, women are confused by their body’s signals, ie., with Braxton Hicks, and may feel like they are in labor when they’re not. This makes for frustrating times when you rush off to the hospital and the doctor pronounces that you’re not really in labor.

If you are in labor, here’s some essential oils advice to help you in childbirth: 
- To calm and focus: diffuse or just smell DoTerra’s Balance Essential Oil Blend.
- For energy during labor: apply Peppermint essential oil topically, in water, or diffused.
- Back Labor: apply Peppermint and/or Deep Blue essential oil blend with a posterior-facing baby.
- To avoid or minimize tearing: use Helichrysum for a couple weeks before birth, as well as for perineal massage.
